What will you do all summer (in addition to having fun with your campers and fellow team members)? A Director is responsible for:
Supervising campers ages three (3) to fifteen (15)
Actively participating in all camp activities
Providing a safe and fun learning environment and serving as a positive role model
Position Objective/Purpose
ESF is hiring motivated leaders with prior experience supervising children and adults who believe in ESF's mission, build positive relationships and ensure the well-being of others.
Position Scope Factors
Director hours are from 7:30am to 4:30pm 3 days per week and 8:00am to 6:00pm 2 days per week; Monday through Friday. Start and end times may vary depending on the location and camp. Depending on the location, Directors work up to ten (10) consecutive weeks from mid-June through mid-August.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Perform group supervision of campers with attention to: behavior and group management, health and safety, security and skill development
Manage and develop team members; administer mid and end of summer staff evaluations
Monitor the organization, supervision and administration of all activities and assemblies
Ensure the safety and security of all campers and team members
Run morning briefings daily with team and participate in leadership meetings
Coordinate and communicate daily schedules
Oversee morning and afternoon club OT/extended day activities
Interface with camp parents/guardians through written and verbal communication
Conduct tours of the camp facilities and program areas to prospective camp families as needed
Assist and support the Site Director in camp operations and activities
Attend all ESF events and facilitate trainings as necessary
Complete paperwork as assigned
Exhibit ESF core values at all times and to adhere to all company policies

Experience Requirements
Previous experience working with children in a supervisory capacity
Prior staff supervision experience
Performance management and facilitation experience
Prior camp experience preferred
Certification Requirements
Teaching certification preferred
First Aid/CPR preferred
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Reporting Relationships
Reports directly to the Site Director
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Ability to push/pull, lift and carry a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds
Work outside, upright and mobile for six (6) to eight (8) hours per day
Respond to emergency situations which may include running (up to 1 mile in some cases) and ascending stairs without undue exertion
Possess physical capacity to fulfill all Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities listed above

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
